Malatya International Film Festival (MIFF), organized by Malatya Governorship and Malatya Apricot Research-Development and Promotion Foundation, is hosting a new excitement; an international film festival.

The elegant city; Malatya, have experienced Hittite, Assyria, Urartian, Persian, Rome, Constantinople, Arabian, Seljuk and Ottoman dominations. With its thousands years of history, Malatya have done the honours to the oldest palace in the world and king’s grave.

During the Festival, approximately 100 films – amongst which are feature films, documentary and short films- will meet the audience. The Festival will screen the latest movies of acclaimed film-makers as well as recent independent examples from both Turkish and World Cinema. During the festival, panel discussions on cinema, exhibitions, workshops and concerts will take place in addition to the film screenings.

An international feature film competition will be held within the framework of the 5th Malatya International Film Festival which aims to promote significant and innovative works in the contemporary world cinema and establishing Malatya as a meeting point between filmmakers and local audience.
