VIDEO: The NatureTrack Film Festival celebrates the 5th anniversary edition watch the trailers...2023 is the first milestone for the NatureTrack Film Festival - its’ 5th anniversary. NatureTrack FF is a nature-centric festival. On this our 5th year, we’re taking it to a movie theatre for a new experience in Goleta. The City of Goleta is a great partner in our endeavor. On Tuesday, Sept. 19, the NTFF will get a proclamation marking this milestone at the Goleta City Council Meeting which starts at 5:30pm and can be seen streaming live. Dates for the NTFF are Oct 6- 8 in Goleta. In 2018 NTFF began in Los Olivos where it played to audiences in three unique venues. Tie-ins with the tasting rooms in the town provided space for receptions. This year, we’ll go back with a Best of the Fest program to play at The Grange Saturday, Oct. 14. Enjoy this all nature documentary festival - Oct. 6-7-8 in Goleta and Oct. 14 in Los Olivos. NatureTrack has been taking students K-12 out on the trails and beaches in SB County since 2011. Founder of the organization formed the Film Festival in 2018 as a way to create an income stream for the educational program. Offered to the schools at no charge, with transportation provided, it’s really an important to get kids outside, learn more about nature and put them in a living classroom with great docents, it’s a winning program. Let us all spread the word about NatureTrack and the accessible Freedom Trax units used on the trails for wheelchair users. This is a great accessibility story, a trend to opening the public spaces to those who are less able. State of CA just initiated an all access program.
