15 years ago, I had a dream. My 25-year-old self, unfulfilled by corporate life and looking for her place in the world, concocted an optimistic and far-reaching plan to pitch and produce the Oprah Winfrey Remembering Your Spirit Film Festival.

Of course I knew nothing about running a festival, but I felt called to take hold of the great tool for change called film – and steer it toward inspiration, enlightenment, higher awareness, greater health, surrender and love. This dream remained unchecked on my bucket list for a decade, perhaps because the world wasn’t ready, or maybe because I wasn’t ready.

After a spiritual awakening, a few good Wayne Dyer reads, 1,001 meditations, a year-long personal Eat Pray Love, 10 years of film festival management and the acceptance of myself as a leader, ILLUMINATE was born.

Now I find myself reveling in the impact we’ve made in our 5 short years and pushing myself to create an engine of transformation that will last for another 50.

How Will We Awaken Humanity?

We at ILLUMINATE will work tirelessly to find and launch the most consciousness-expanding, paradigm-shifting films, ignite powerful healing experiences, build awakened community, create movements, drive more conscious filmmakers to make films and drive global audiences to embrace their messages. We will continue to ignite the global conscious film movement, and we will lead the way.
