Extremadura Spain is committed to the development of sustainable tourism. This tourism is able to combine in perfect balance respect for the natural environment along with protection of our cultural and artistic heritage, elements that are very important in our region due to its wealth and conditions of conservation.
1. The third edition of CINEXTUR will take place in Cáceres, Spain, from the 5th through the 7th of December 2013. 2. SUBJECT: Works which promote the richness of a territory or an area and how the tourist can be more aware of this quality. It is not just a festival about environmental protection projects, but a festival for these projects that promote the value of natural resources, landscapes and environmental richness, as tourist attraction based on the criteria of sustainable development. 3. 4. Participants can enter a maximum of 3 films. 5. The Festival’s organizers assume that participants have all the rights of their own works, and are responsible in case of the non-fulfillment of these regulations. 6. Participants will submit their films on-line at: www.cinextur.com. 7. The deadline is October 31st 2013. 8. No entry fees are required. 9. To complete their submissions, participants will have to fill out the online entry form available on www.cinextur.com and send a link to download (.MOV file 2Gb maximum) to cinextur@cinextur.com or a DVD screener to the following address: Cinextur 2013 10. All participants who do not submit all the requested materials explained herein will be excluded from the contest. 11. The awards will be determined by a jury vote, composed of eminent personalities of the art, nature, tourism and cinematographic world. 12. The awards will be given to the following categories:

To the best documentary or fiction work shot in Extremadura, which promotes natural elements, touristic resources and places for spare time activities and nature enjoyment. It will also be evaluated for the way it showcases the value of natural elements and landscapes where the film has been shot. For this category, the entire film must be shot in Extremadura. Participants must send an e-mail to cinextur@cinextur.com indicating the film title and the exact shooting location(s). 13. The awards are subject to the tax retentions marked by Spanish law. 14. A commission will select films for each category and 10 will be submitted as awards finalists for the jury. 15. The official selection will be announced through the CINEXTUR web page, www.cinextur.com, one month before the Festival. 16. 17. The deadline to send the selected works is November 15, 2013. 18. The sender will cover all shipping costs. The Festival Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the package. 19. The Festival Committee will be entitled to disqualify works that do not respond to the appropriate technical conditions for the screenings and may leave the award category without a winner if the works do not reach the technical and artistic standards decided by the committee and jury. 20. Participants will allow the Festival’s organizers to screen short clips of their films for a maximum duration of two minutes to promote the event. 21. The Festival’s organizers reserve the right to publish in DVD the selected films, with promotional aims (maximum two minutes). 22. All the requested documents will become part of the Festival’s archive. 23. The participation in the Festival requires full acceptance of these regulations. The Festival’s organizers reserve the right to remove the work from the competition if any of the above points stated are breached. 24.
