'Joy', directed by David O. Russell and starring Jennifer Lawrence will open Capri,Hollywood 2015DAVID O. RUSSELL LATES MOVIE 'JOY' OPENS CAPRI, HOLLYWOOD 2015. ANDREA AND RAFFAELLA LEONE TO BE FETED PRODUCERS OF THE YEAR
'Joy', directed by David O. Russell and starring Jennifer Lawrence (nominated for the Golden Globe), Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, will open Capri,Hollywood; the International Film Fest (from Dec.26, 2015 to Jan.2, 2016) has been presented today in Rome by founder and producer Pascal Vicedomini. Amongst the international stars honored are Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts, American actress Brie Larson, Irish legendary deirctor Jim Sheridan and UK costume designer Sandy Powell; among the Italian stars will be feted actors Riccardo Scamarcio and Paola Cortellesi. American director Cary Fukunaga will be presented the Social Award for 'Beasts of No Nation', a drama based on a child soldier. Other international guests include Oscar winning screenwriter Bobby Moresco, Indian director Shekhar Kapur and producers Andrea and Raffaella Leone honored as 'Producers of the Year'. The movies premiering in Italy include: 'Steve Jobs' dir. Danny Boyle starring Michael Fassbender, 'Love & Mercy' by Bill Pohland, Macbeth directed by Justin Kurzel with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, 'September of Shiraz' by Wayne Blair, the German-Italian 'Il Labirinto del Silenzio' by Giulio Ricciarelli (shortlisted for the academy Awards 2016); the German movie 'The People vs Fritz Bauer' by Lars Kraume. There will be special movie screenings selected from the best cinema festivals: 'Carol' by Tod Haynes, 'The Danish Girl' by Tom Hooper, 'El Desconocido' by Dani de la Torre, 'Room' by Lenny Abrahamson starring Brie Larson, 'Brooklyn' by John Crowley, 'Suffragette' By Sarah Gavron with Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep. At the Kids Global Icon fest will take place a special screening of 'The Little Prince' (Paramount). Italian motion picture industry will be represented by directors Giulio Ricciarelli, Giuseppe M. Gaudino, Guido Chiesa,Marco Ponti, Massimiliano Bruno, Riccardo Milani, Mimmo Calopresti; and actors: Paola Cortellesi (Capri Award for Actress of The Year), Alessandro Cremona (Spectre 007), Paolo Ruffini, Marco Giallini, Alessandro Siani, Francesco Pannofino, Giulia Elettra Gorietti, Giulio Berruti, Ciro Petrone, Maria Pia Calzone, Marco Leonardi, Federico R. Rossi. Also at Capri,Hollywood Francesco Facchinetti,Luca Bianchini and many festival aficionados like the Academy Award winner production designer Gianni Quaranta, Franco Nero, Enrico Vanzina, Andrea Purgatori, 'the Capri host' Peppino di Capri and the Greek supermodel Ria Antoniou. Finally Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni, media partner of the festival, will award a special Telegatto to the favourite Italian movie of 2015 'Si Accettano miracoli' dir. Alessandro Siani; the pianist Giovanni Allevi will be presented the Capri Award. Danish director Billie August is chairman, Lina Wertmuller is honorary President and Valentina Reggio will be co-hosting.
