Summer Berlinale screenings under the Stars with Open-Air Cinema in Friedrichshain

In summer, Berlin is a city of outdoor events. And this includes: the Summer Berlinale at the Open-Air Cinema in Friedrichshain. From July 24 to July 27, this summertime sequel of the Festival will give cineastes another chance to see audience favourites and winners from the Competition, Panorama, Forum, Perspektive Deutsches Kino and Berlinale Shorts – under the stars and before they are released to German cinemas.

The Summer Berlinale will also be hitting the road with a varied programme in July and August. Cinemas in Cologne and Nuremberg and - for the first time - Hamburg and Munich will be showing a selection of films from this year’s Berlinale.
