Ruby Barnhill, John Hannah, Franka Potente and Bella Ramsey! Studio 100 Film announces voice cast for Princess Emmy

Studio 100 Film announced today that Ruby Barnhill (BFG: Big Friendly Giant), John Hannah (The Mummy, The Mummy returns, Spartacus, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency), Franka Potente (The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Surpremacy, Lola rennt, Conjuring 2, Taboo) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones, The Worst Witch) joined the international voice cast for the upcoming animation movie PRINCESS EMMY. Ruby Barnhill will voice Emmy and Bella Ramsey Gizana, the cousin and antagonist of the little princess. John Hannah and Franka Potente will lend their voices to the parents of Emmy – King Karl and Queen Karla of Kandis. The movie tells the story of a young princess who is severely put to the test and risks everything in order to win the right to possess a truly remarkable gift: The ability to talk to her 26 horses. It is directed by Piet de Rycker (‘Laura’s Star’, ‘Little Polar Bear’) and is set for delivery in June 2018.  The film has already been sold to more than 100 countries around the world – among them France with TF1 Studio and China with Bright Media.

“I am very pleased that we have such an exceptionally talented, internationally well-known cast, performing for such a delightfully charming family film. The cast bring with them warmth, positive energy and a wonderful connection to the children and parents alike. I have no doubt that Princess Emmy will become a classic family film for generations of children worldwide”, comments Ken Anderson, UK Co-Producer of Talking Horse and Red Kite Animation.

Thorsten Wegener, Director Operations Studio 100 Film, adds „We are very happy that we could win such renowned actors as Ruby Barnhill, John Hannah, Franka Potente and Bella Ramsey for the international voice cast of our movie – and I’m allowed to reveal that Franka Potente will play the part of Emmy’s mother as well in the German version of the movie that also features Uwe Ochsenknecht . We are very much looking forward to the completed movie – together with our partners we are convinced it will win over audiences around the world.”

PRINCESS EMMY – THE MOVIE is produced by Studio 100 Media (Germany), Talking Horse (UK), Witebox (Belgium) and Animationsfabrik (Germany). Munich-based Studio 100 Film acts as international sales agency for the worldwide rights of ‘Emmy’. At EFM 2018 Studio 100 Film is located at Marriott Office #268.
