“Inside a Change” Wins 2009 New York International Latino Film Festival Best Film Award

By Maria Esteves - September 2, 2009

The 2009 New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF09) celebrating it's 10th Anniversary presented by HBO, World Premiere of INSIDE A CHANGE, directed by Rik Cordero, was held at the School for Visual Arts (SVA) theatre, Thursday, July 30, 7:00 PM. A special Q&A with director Cordero preceded the World Premiere after party at STAY, NYC. Director Cordero is winner of the 2009 New York International Latino Film Festival Best Film Award.

Based on true events, INSIDE A CHANGE is a captivating award winning film that intimately reveals strong family bonds of the Price family, a single parent with three sons, from Queens, New York. The middle son Chris (Ephraim Benton) who shares a home with friends, is given a 24-hour notice by the police authorities to serve a six-month jail sentence for a first time offence. Realizing the importance of freedom, it compels him to change his ways from the inside by using the time wisely with his mother, younger, and older brother.
