International Mobile Film Festival

International Mobile Film Festival (IMFF) in San Diego, California is the first film festival in the world to encourage making movies with phones in a traditional live in-person film festival event that only accepts films shot with smartphones. IMFF is a global pioneer and unique platform launched in 2009 by Susy Botello aka Susan Botello with S. Botello Productions™ (2006). The festival attracts international filmmakers to San Diego every year to screen their films and celebrate the smartphone filmmaking movement.

The 11th annual edition of IMFF brings 6 full length narrative films, 25 short films and 4 Rookie Award contenders to San Diego. All films are shot with only smartphones with the exception of not more than 10% aerial drone footage.

Our theme this year is: Elevate.

IMFF brand International Mobil Film Festival™ and slogan, The Red Carpet is in Your Pocekt™

Our unique Red Carpet Extravaganza is a show with the famed Star Wars Steampunk Universe and Dude Vader to the red carpet with participating filmmakers for a great video and photo show with cheers and applause.

The festival includes a workshop, Q&A panels and presentations, many networking opportunities, raffles, and other surprises.
