Arizona Underground Film Festival is Arizona’s only premier underground cult film festival! Being a non-profit film festival, we make it our sole mission to showcase the work of filmmakers with defiantly independent visions. We are on a quest to represent every genre of independent film from across the world celebrating the artist, and their work. Now in our third year we are taking Arizona by storm with screenings in both Tucson and Phoenix during the week of Sept 18th to 25th. My First Festival is a film fest for schools and family audiences which celebrates its third edition this year. With venues at Verdi Cinemas and the Catalan Film Institute (Filmoteca de Catalunya) in Barcelona, the event will take place from 20 to 28 November 2010.

The festival was set up to promote children’s films in all their variety and creativity, showcasing a selection of works from all over the world and from throughout cinema history. Its goals are to entertain and to educate, to stimulate the imagination and creativity and to awaken the critical spirit.

This year we include in the program a competition section open to short films, fiction and animated, targeted to children from 5 to 12 years old.

The West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival; celebrating artistry, imagination, and independent thought in video and multimedia. Screening works under 20 minutes, programming categories include: documentary, narrative, animation/experimental, student films, and works that focus on Appalachian culture and themes. This year, in addition to screening narrative, documentary, animation and experimental works, we have established a thematic category for works that explore issues relating to energy.

Together with the fmx - Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Interactive Media, the Internationale Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart - Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) is developing into the biggest and most important meeting in the world of animated film. With an enthusiastic audience, a unique location and countless international guests, the ITFS is a regular fixture on the international animation scene and is one of Germany's outstanding cultural events.

Founded in 1982, the Festival of Animated Film has always promoted artistic animated films, young talented artists and the entire animated film sector. The prize categories, with prize money of over 50,000 Euros, attract the newest and most up-to-date animation films from around the world.

The accompanying events and programmes range from presentations by schools and studios, showcases of famous animation artists and the popular “Best Of Animation” series, right up to screenplay writer workshops with well-known animated film professionals. Industry professionals value the numerous workshops, lectures, and presentations as they provide a unique opportunity to make contacts and familiarize oneself with the latest developments. The public enjoys the variety of the presentation and the relaxed festival atmosphere. Crazy Horse Session - 48h Animation Jam
International teams take on the challenge to produce an animated short film involving the festivals's mascot Trixi within 48 hours.

We are happy and proud to present the first edition of the DotFest — INTERNATIONAL ONLINE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL which was created to present and reward the very best in international independent short filmmaking. DotFest will take place from April 1st – April 18th, 2010. The best flicks will be selected from the astonishing variety of shorts: dramatic and droll fiction, picturesque and technically gifted animation, music videos to dance to and gaze at, formal and conceptual experimental works! That much in such a short time, in one place — the internet!

The Talking Pictures Festival presents independent films from around the globe at its annual festival and competition. Cash awards for winning entries. We seek to show films that are thought-provoking, intriguing, entertaining, vibrant, authentic, artful and informative. From dramatic films to hard-hitting documentaries, comedic shorts, experimental films, or music videos, we invite independent filmmakers to send us their work for consideration. All genres, styles and lengths welcome. Festival takes place in Evanston, Illinois and attracts filmgoers from the entire Chicago metro-area.

Based in Ryde, Isle of Wight, on the south coast of England. This is the first International Film Festival to be held on the Island. With its fantastic golden sands and town on the beach. We aim to become one of the UK’s and internationally sought after film festivals.

Films can be up to five years old and with over 20 categories to choose from, there is no excuse for anyone to say they can’t have a go.

If it’s in your wardrobe or under your bed, dust it down and send it off to us and we will show it on one of our big screens on the beach, or at the traditional Commodore Theatre in the centre of town.
