We would like to officially call for entries to Short & Sweet 3D, a night of stereoscopic short films at The Barbican in London, July 16, 2010.
The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2010.
Short & Sweet 3D is an exciting new step for us celebrating independent, maverick, cutting-edge filmmaking in the growing stereoscopic medium. Entries can be anywhere under 15 minutes in length. We are excited to screen a wide variety of content including fiction, documentary, music videos, live action and animation, so send it all in!

You are ALL concerned: movie and TV industry, entertainment parks, media, communication agencies, artists, scientists and engineers, R&D labs, manufacturers, deciders, movie buffs, high-tech enthusiasts, and, obviously, the press. To help you appreciate and anticipate as best as possible this revolution and take advantage of all opportunities of this wave, which is as much high-tech than it is artistic, the e-mage technology cluster of Liège, in collaboration with the University of Liège, has decided to organize a yearly event, called 3D Stereo MEDIA, totally dedicated to ALL facets of 3D stereo imaging, and thus unique in Europe.

James Cameron may not be playing a film at Sundance, but that didn't stop his smash-hit Avatar from stealing the spotlight. At a private party hosted by Film Utah Magazine, Ubisoft and XBox revealed a sneak peek of the world's first game to be played in 3D.
The game allows you to travel through the make-believe world of Pandora as you fight off enemies in your Avatar. You have to wear 3D glasses, but the experience is very cool:

Panasonic Corporation will release the world's first* professional, fully-integrated Full HD 3D camcorder in Fall 2010. The company will begin taking orders in April. Engineering samples of the professional Full HD 3D solid-state camcorder will be exhibited at the Panasonic booth (Las Vegas Convention Center, Main Hall, #9405) at the 2010 International CES in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7-10.

Fostering the get-together and interaction of all players in 3D stereo
imaging is natural since most of the biological, psychological, and
technical principles, as well as much hardware and software, of 3D
stereo, apply to many applications: not only cinema - which concerns us
all - but also medical imaging, architecture, urbanism, cartography,
remote sensing, vehicle simulators, aerospace, design, etc.
The 1st edition of 3D Stereo MEDIA
will happen in Liège, Belgium, on 1-3 December 2009, featuring a 3D
stereo film festival, a large array of conferences, an exhibition, and
specialized training. Hundreds of experts and professionals, coming
from all over the world, will be present.
Ben Stassen, the
well knowned director and producer of “Fly Me to the Moon”, the first
3D Stereo animation film in the world, will be the President of 3D
Stereo MEDIA 2009.

"Hawaii 3D - Kona Underwater" is a full color underwater journey through Hawaii's extraordinary coral reefs and a look at the fragile wildlife found below; all filmed from a unique Digital 3D perspective. The moview is available in a 20 minute version and a full-length 65 minute version.
The "Hawaii 3D - Kona Underwater" movie is part of the "Hawaii 3D" series, a larger volume "nature series" consisting of a never before filmed in-depth look at Hawaii from a terrestrial, aerial and underwater point-of-view; offered in full High-Definition 3D format.
