This panel investigates the success of films made by women directors, producers, screenwriters, etc. Are women films doing well in box-office figures, awards, return on investment? Do they tell new stories? How do experienced women filmmakers reflect on their success? International experts will present their findings in a moderated debate with the audience.

• Is funding women’s projects well worth the money if we look at box-office figures, awards, media coverage as well as the return on investment?

• Do films made by women tell new stories, or do they tell the same stories in a new way?

• What was the path to success from a personal perspective?

International experts and professionals will present their experiences and findings over the last years in a moderated presentation and debate with the audience. The event will be followed by a cocktail reception for the informal continuation of the discussions.
