The second edition of the Festival will be in Sestriere, from 4th to 11th August 2012.

 International Festival of Mountain Film
 at 2035 mt. THE HIGHEST FESTIVAL OF EUROPE
“Sestriere Film Festival - from the olympic mountain... a view on the world" is an international film festival organized by the Association Montagna Italia. the festival, entirely dedicated to the cinema and the culture of the mountain, is open to all movies, documentaries, Animation movies, short and full lenght movies dedicated to the "Highlands of the world".
 The themes are: mountain, alpinism, exploration and hiking.

From august 4th to august 11th 2012 Every night, from 9 p.m.

The “Mountain Week” Will take place from 4th to 12th august 2012 and will be dedicated to the mountain, alpinism, exploration and hiking.
 Many events are scheduled. Among others the most important is the Sestriere Film Festival.
 The event is divided into three parts:
- morning: excursions and trekking with the presence of an alpine guide;
- afternoon at the ALT: publishing and book presentations;
- evening at the Fraiteve Cinema: projection of the movies with many important guests.
 The week will contunue with many other events:
- The “Golden chisel”: carving in the Toma;
 - ANA party: gathering of the Alpine corps;
 - catering: presentation and tasting of typical and local foodstuffs;
 - The “Three Cableway race”: men and women will challenge nature climbing the mountains around Sestriere along a 19 kilometers way with a difference in altitude of 1600 metres;
 Unmissable events (official schedule to be defined) for all the mountain lovers.

Sestriere Photo Festival
The contest is open to all amateur photographers, photography lovers and professional photographers.
 Photography, an amazing way to fix with a simple click a magic moment, that will last forever.
 It’s necessary to be of age.
 The contest has only one section dedicated to the mountain with its landscapes and its nature.
