Hypefest to open with Belief

HypeFest, the unique film and video festival that links independent ideas with commercial creativity, is thrilled to announce that Belief has been selected to create its show open. This opening runs prior to each screening and is a cornerstone branding element for HypeFest 2004.

"We had a piece in HypeFest last year and attended the festival, which we found to be an amazing up-and-coming event," notes Belief Founder and Creative Director Michael Goedecke. "HypeFest caters to showcasing art pieces and commercial projects, providing an excellent venue for compelling work. The festival also mirrors our viewpoint - that commercial projects are art and can be truly exciting."

Belief is an award-winning Santa Monica-based design and production studio that has been producing broadcast design and commercials for the last ten years. This creative studio can take a project from initial concept to final delivery. Their projects range from commercials and show packages, to overall channel launches and redesigns for clients such as Bud Light, CBS, Discovery Networks, ESPN, Food Network, JCPenny, MTV, Sony, and USA. Unlike many other design studios, Belief is a complete production facility that handles all phases of the production including the shoot. Belief is well versed in all areas of live action production from video all the way to high-end 35mm film and everything in between, including High Definition.

Additionally, the company has spearheaded the creation of unique short film collaborations. Called "Untitled," the films have been shown at BDA, 2003 Seattle International Film Festival, Taos Talking Picture Festival, Palm
Springs International Shorts, and was award Best Experimental Short Film at the 36th Annual Worldfest Houston. Untitled: 003 screened at
HypeFest 2003 as part of the popular "Twist of Fate" screening.

"Belief is a leader in the branding, design and production arena and we are very excited to select them to create the festival open," concludes HypeFest Festival Co-Director Jessie Nagel. "The fact that they experienced the festival firsthand gave them a unique appreciation and enthusiasm for our event. It's a great match and we can't wait to see what they create!"

Providing a bridge between content creators in the independent and commercial communities, HypeFest is dedicated to showcasing compelling and entertaining short films, commercials, music videos and promos. The weekend-long event, held in Hollywood in July 2004, offers film screenings and nightly parties, complete with mixing and mingling opportunities.
