Our 6th Shortcutz Amsterdam Annual Awards took place this past sunday, january 20th at EYE Filmmuseum!

 
Every year we invite inspiring film personalities to deliver a speech to inspire the new generation to create more and better movies. It's our way of trying to create an awards ceremony where everybody wins something, at the very least some inspiration. 

This edition, filmmakers and film lovers get the chance to listen to wise words from very special guests.

This year's guests of honour included

Emmy winner RENÉ MIOCH was co-host this event.

The Shortcutz Amsterdam Career Award is given yearly to a film personality whose work has contributed to the development and prestige of Dutch film at home and abroad.
This year’s recipient is director FRANS WEISZ.
Actor GÉZA WEISZ will do the introduction to Frans career award.

The winning short films in the categories: best film, best animation, best documentary and best experimental, will be screened in their entirety.
 
Do not forget to bring your dancing shoes. From 23:15 join us at EYE cafe for the performance of the HOUSE OF VINEYARD and some serious dance moves. Actor and DJMaffia aka HUGOMETSERS will take care of the DJ activity of the evening.
