AMPAS 24th Annual New York Oscar Viewing Party in celebration of the 85th Academy Awards was held at the iconic restaurant DANIEL, Sunday, February 24, 2013. Hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the private event for East Coast Academy members, prior Oscar winners, Oscar nominees, and industry executives included a creative cocktail reception, an award winning French cuisine dinner by chef Daniel Boulud, and live broadcast coverage of the 85th Oscars hosted by Seth MacFarlane at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland Center, California. The 85th Oscars presented by AMPAS honored excellence in film achievements of 2012. The Oscars were televised in more than 200 countries worldwide.
