American Film Market Dailies

Jae-woo Kim has been appointed Director of International Sales with immediate effect at leading international sales and finance company, 13 Films, it was announced today by Tannaz Anisi, President of 13 Films.

Kim will report directly to Anisi.

“Jae-woo’s previous experience in sales and acquisitions at 9ers Entertainment where she handled a number of high profile films will be a greatly valued asset not only to our company, but to our international partners,” said Anisi. "I look forward to collaborating with her on our growing slate of projects." 

Kim will support international sales for the company’s current slate of titles which includes three films set to start shooting within the next two months: the supernatural thriller VOICE FROM THE STONE starring Emilia Clarke, actioner EXTORTION with Frank Grillo and Oscar nominee Barkhad Abdi and crime thriller MANHATTAN NOCTURNE set to star Oscar winner Adrien Brody. She is also handling sales on two films making their market premieres at AFM: the romantic comedy TAKE CARE starring Leslie Bibb and Thomas Sadoski and LOITERING WITH INTENT with Sam Rockwell and Marisa Tomei.

Prior to 13 Films, Kim held the position of International Business Manager at the Korean sales outfit, 9ers Entertainment, where she acquired a series of films including WARRIOR starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton, the documentary METALLICA THROUGH THE NEVER featuring Dane DeHaan, the upcoming 2015 Lionsgate release MORTDECAI starring Johnny Depp, the POINT BREAK remake which is currently shooting and GODS OF EGYPT with Gerard Butler.

Kim received an MFA from the American Film Institute.
