Oscar Statues Arrive at The Carlyle for the Official 2011 New York Oscar Night Party

The amazing two eight foot golden Oscar statues made their triumphant arrival at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York on Friday, February 25, 2011, in preparation for the Official New York Oscar Night Party of 83rd Annual Academy Awards, Sunday, February 27. The Carlyle Restaurant kitchen chef Michael De Jesus carefully created and displayed samples of the mid-course, entrée, and desert dishes to be served at the Oscar Night celebration.

Presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (A.M.P.A.S.), this year’s awards honors outstanding film achievements of 2010, co-hosted by actors James Franco and Anne Hathaway will commence at 8:00 PM ET, Sunday, February 27, at the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood, CA. The Oscars will televise live on ABC Television Network, and in more than 200 countries worldwide. Presenters at the 83rd Academy Awards include Amy Adams, Russell Brand, Cate Blanchett, Josh Brolin, Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Annette Bening, Jude Law, Hilary Swank , and Reese Witherspoon.

The New York Oscar Night Party intimate black tie optional celebration for Academy members at The Carlyle include an exquisite cocktail reception in the elegant Café Carlyle, followed by an extravagant multicourse dinner prepared by chefs Michael De Jesus and Luca Rutigliano in the classic Trianon Suite. Enormous interactive multi-panel high definition wall units will display live broadcast of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.
