Visit http://mergingarts.org for more information. 2011 Short Short Story Film Festival accepting submissions through 1st OctoberThe Short Short Story Film Festival is a unique international film festival presenting live-action and animated short films which tell a story in five minutes or less. The festival travels to select locations in the northeastern US in November, and 2011 marks the fifth year of the festival. Note that submission to the festival is free. Films must be 5 minutes and under, as follows: credits must start by 5 minutes, and the total running time including credits must be no longer than 5 minutes 30 seconds. All films must tell a story; this excludes public service announcements, trailers, non-narrative experimental pieces, and such. Whether a piece is truly narrative is at the discretion of the submission review panel. All genres and styles are accepted, including live action, documentaries, animation, drama, comedy, children’s films, science fiction, horror, GLBT, etc. Filmmakers accepted into the festival are encouraged to prepare a brief video introduction (approximately one-minute) of themselves and their film(s). The final deadline for film submissions is 1st October, 2011.
