Package of Action-packed Thai films,at East Udine Far East film festivalIt's interesting to know that a package of action-packed, 'Muay Thai' Thai boxing films are to screen at the East Udine Far East festival ( 24 April- 2 May). Among these are Ong Bak 2,the sequel to the film of the same title that pushed Tony Jaa to world-fame, as Thailand's own Jackie Chaan/Bruce Lee.This is a pure action drama, with dialogues kept to the minimum, and Jaa proves he can do anything, anywhere- on land, air, even elephant-back! More thought-provoking, is 'Chocolate' which introduces a new female action-star, Yanin Vismistnanda, in an interesting role as an autistic girl who exerts her power through her fists and legs- an impressive debut. There are also some horror-films in the package, a genre that Thailand has become noted for, including an assorted series of 4 Shorts by 4 talented film-makers called '4 Bia'. Among these, is noted director Yongyoot Thongkongtoon, whose latest film 'The Best of Times' is probably the only non-action film in the package- a unique love-story that features an old couple discovering love with the internet and a young couple, getting 'connected' by a well-meaning dog. The film stars a mixture of veteran artistes and debut stars. All in all, a 'strong' presence, for the 'Land of Smiles' at this Asia-centric festival. 15.04.2009 | LEKHA SHANKAR's blog Cat. : 4 Bia Asia Bruce Lee Chocolate Cinema of Thailand Director Entertainment Entertainment Far East Films Isan Jackie Chaan Martial arts films Muay Thai Muay Thai Ong Bak 2 Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior Person Career Sports Sports Sports media Technology Technology Thai films The Best of Times the East Udine Far East festival Tony Jaa Tony Jaa Udine Far East Film Festival Yanin Vismistnanda Yongyoot Thongkongtoon FILM

Myself Lijin Jose.I direct documentaries and ad films and also work as AD in Malayalam fetaure films. I was the AD for the film SANCHARAM directed by Ligy J Pullappally. Currently I am working with a friend of mine who is about to direct his debut film. The story is set in Malaysia and we are in need of someone who can help us to get some info on the Malaysian money trade system- both legal and illegal. Vinu Abraham(The Week)mentioned about you as I was asking him about journalists working in Malaysia. Unfortunately he didnt have your contact. I googled for you and found this blog....If you can get us some info on this or direct us to someone who can that will be a great help.
