> A SECONDEXHIBITION HALL: D3 DÉCOUVERTE

The D3 Découverte Hall offers an exhibition areacalled D3 Découverte Expo on free access. D3 Découverte Expo is presenting solutions to professionals who are searching for new usages or innovative tools dedicated to visualization and communication.

D3DÉCOUVERTE Expo presents Tomorrow’s Classroom and the S3D Home Cinema.

The D3 Découverte hall also presents D3 DÉCOUVERTE auditorium, where aselection of films competing in Dimension 3 Festival will be screened along with a series ofinternational programs (screened as a continuous loop with the partnership ofUS conference SD&A – Stereoscopic Displays and Applications ).

D3 Découverte also includes two events aimed at promoting young talents:

The Innovation LABS” AREA is presenting research projects by young university students (installations and demonstrations). This area have been developed in partnership with the university of Paris 8’s ATI department (Image Arts and Technologies).

TheD3 Generation area is offering a young talent’s wall. An interactive screen allows to future professionals searching for work or internships (in the printing, photo or video industries) todisplay their profile for potential employers. This area will be completed byspeed dating events.

> WHAT'S NEW ON THEFORUM…

The D3 Expo area (over 25,000 square feetdedicated to S3D filming and production tools as well as to visualizationsolutions) offers two new thematic areas for the first time:

THE SHOOTING ZONE shows cameras and rigs in a realstudio. Manufacturers and technical service providers schedule demonstrationswith visitors, in order to showcase their S3D filming systems. This real area will be especially well suited to test the various possible conditions forfilming in S3D.

IMMERSIVE AVENUE, a passage located at the entrance of D3 expo anddedicated to immersive applications, with a presentation of tools forvisualizing holographic, augmented and interactive S3D images. This area is D3expo’s idea box!

D3FORUM, the conference program, keeps its leading position, with over 35 talks,a new auditorium, a series of talks on augmented reality, and a program dedicated to education, developed in collaboration with the Académie of Créteil, and the Arts, Sciences and Technologies Platform.

> SPOTLIGHT ON AUGMENTED REALITY

On May 24, two conferences will present the diversity of applications and marketopportunities that are offered by Augmented Reality technologies. (in partnership with the “Augmented Reality” blog, at www.augmented-reality.fr) The subject of augmented reality will also be tackled during otherconferences throughout Dimension 3:
