FROM ON HIGH wins TWO awards at Carpine d'Argento Cortifestival! FROM ON HIGH has won two honors at the 2018 Carpine d'Argento Cortifestival in Visciano, Italy. Ahead of the fest, which runs June 29-July 1, 2018, director/producer Dawn Westlake was contacted that her DP/Editor, Pol Carrizo Vilarroig, had won the BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY award. The film itself also won a Third Place prize. FROM ON HIGH tells the story of a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe. It marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-olds Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll. An original score was provided by 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee GC Johnson.
