MYRIAD PICTURES ANNOUNCES

FOR LOVE OR MONEY

A hilarious unromantic comedy about love and revenge

Los Angeles, February 12 2018: Myriad Pictures announced today that it will handle international sales on the hilarious British comedy FOR LOVE OR MONEY, written and directed by Mark Murphy (The Comedian's Guide To Survival). The cast includes British stars Robert Kazinsky (Warcraft, True Blood, Pacific Rim), Samantha Barks (Les Misérables, Interlude in Prague, Bitter Harvest), Tony Way (Edge of Tomorrow, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Finding Neverland), Rachel Hurd-Wood (Tomorrow, When the War Began, An American Haunting, Peter Pan), Edward Speleers (Eragon, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Downton Abbey) and Anna Chancellor (The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, Four Weddings and a Funeral, What a Girl Wants). FOR LOVE OR MONEY is a hilarious unromantic comedy about how a fairy tale romance takes an unexpected turn when Mark (Kazinsky) discovers his beautiful bride-to-be, Connie (Barks), has actually been plotting against him and decides to take revenge. FOR LOVE OR MONEY was filmed in the UK last year and it is now in post-production. Myriad Pictures is introducing the film to the buyers at the upcoming European Film Market.

FOR LOVE OR MONEY is a story of love and revenge. "Life is sweet", or so you might think if you were in Mark's shoes. He's about to make £20 million on a business deal that he's kept secret from everyone, even his best friend Tim. To add to his luck, a chance encounter at a funeral has given him another shot with the love of his life, Connie. The two fall head over heels and not long after get engaged. Two problems though, first, that Connie doesn't genuinely love him, and second, his belief that no-one knows about his impending success and wealth is in fact, incorrect. An old classmate, Johnny, knows everything and encourages Connie to marry Mark. After stumbling upon some incriminating texts, Mark discovers their plan to rob him of half his impending £20 million fortune. Refusing to be made the fool, Mark quickly puts a plan into action. With the help of Tim and Connie's ex-bff, Kendra, they embark on a mission to see just how far the devious pair are willing to go to get their hands on that money.

Said Myriad's President, Kirk D'Amico, "we are delighted to be handling sales on this hilarious comedy. The filmmakers and cast have done a terrific job of setting up and paying off on the premise of a couple courting each other for reasons other than love".

FOR LOVE OR MONEY is produced by Goldfinch Studios, Solar Productions Ltd. with Mark Murphy, Eric Woollard-White and Alan Latham serving as producers. Myriad's Kirk D'Amico and Kirsty Bell, CEO of GF Studios and Founder of Goldfinch Entertainment will serve as executive producers of the film. Eric Woollard-White has produced film, television and theatre, and was previously managing director of a production business partnered with Frementle Media and Simon Cowell's Syco TV. In addition, he is a seasoned investment director and corporate fund-raiser, with a track record of creating, producing and funding entertainment projects, including the award-winning stage play Hope and the primetime hit television show American Inventor for the ABC TV network in the US. He managed the £200 million investment portfolio for Peter Jones CBE - the BBC2 Dragons' Den investor - for 10 years, and implemented a high revenue generating strategy for globally exploiting rights associated with TV properties and other brands owned by Peter Jones and his group of companies. Over the past 25 years, Alan Latham has produced, co-produced or executive-produced over 40 films, including: I Could Never Be Your Woman (Michelle Pfeiffer, Paul Rudd) and Dead Man Running (Danny Dyer, Tamer Hassan, Brenda Blethyn and Curtis "50 Cent' Jackson). Alan founded GSP Studios and has produced numerous films under the banner including Dusty and Me (Iain Glenn), In Extremis (David O'Hara) and two 100% CGI movies, The Knife That Killed Me, and a cinematic reimagining of Shakespeare's Macbeth with rising acting talent Mark Rowley. Most recently Alan has produced That Good Night with two-time Oscar nominated John Hurt and Charles Dance and Mad To Be Normal starring David Tennant of Doctor Who fame.

The deal was negotiated by Myriad's Kirk D'Amico, with Phil Mckenzie from Goldfinch Studios representing the filmmakers.

MARK MURPHY is an award-winning director and writer with over 20 years of experience. His previous television work includes the well received Drama / Documentary Casanova's Love Letters (Patrick Bergin, Armand Assante), The Untitled (Ronald Pickup, Sean Chapman), and the critically acclaimed Movie Kingdom.
