Content takes sales rights fror Thriller Reversal and premieres in EFM

Content Media Acquires International Sales Rights to Dark Factory’s Gritty Female Revenge Thriller “Reversal” on Heels of Sundance World Premiere; Will Introduce Film to Foreign Buyers for the First Time in Berlin

Berlin, Germany – February 5, 2015 – Continuing to bolster its international sales slate on the eve of the EFM, Content Media announced today that it has acquired international sales rights to Dark Factory’s  “Reversal, the gritty female revenge thriller that just premiered to great fanfare at the Sundance Film Festival.

Content will be introducing and screening “Reversal” to international distributors for the first time at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin this week.

Content’s Film President Jamie Carmichael said, "Jose Manuel's energetic and supremely confident directorial style really caught our eye - along with the breakout performance of Tina Ivlev. Reversal is a magnetic 'tour de force'‎."

José Manuel Cravioto directed the film, which stars up-and-coming actress Tina Ivlev (“The Devil’s in the Details”) as Eve, a tough young woman fighting to escape a malicious abductor. However, after discovering she may not be the only victim, Eve unravels a darker truth and decides to turn the tables on her captor. Richard Tyson (“There’s Something About Mary”) co-stars.

Rock Shaink Jr. and Keith Kjornes wrote the film’s screenplay with Dark Factory’s Daniel Posada and Rodolfo Marquez producing alongside Alex Garcia of AG Studios.

“Reversal” premiered in the “Park City at Midnight” section of this past Sundance Film Festival, after which IFC Midnight quickly acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film.

“Reversal” is the first film produced under the Dark Factory banner, which also recently filmed “One Shot,” starring Topher Grace and Anne Heche, in Mexico. The production company has lined up another horror film with Cravioto, “100 Cries of Horror,” which is slated to begin this year.

“Reversal” joins Content Media’s impressive international sales slate heading into Berlin, which includes two highly anticipated documentaries which also premiered in Sundance - Academy Award® winning director Alex Gibney’s documentary “Going Clear: Scientology and The Prison of Belief”, and Rodney Ascher’s acclaimed horror documentary “The Nightmare.” Additional titles include the new action/thriller “Pandemic” starring Rachel Nichols, Mekhi Phifer, and Missi Pyle, and Alfie Allen; Alex Winter’s documentary “Deep Web;” the intense horror film “The Diabolical” starring Ali Larter; the gripping drama “The Eichmann Show” starring Martin Freeman and Anthony LaPaglia; the uplifting emotional  drama “Life at these Speeds” starring Billy Crudup, Graham Rogers and Sam Rockwell; Academy® Award winning director Mike van Diem’s return romantic comedy “The Surprise”; “Janis: Little Girl Blue” directed by Academy® Award nominated Amy Berg; the spy thriller “Newcomer” starring James Floyd and Anthony LaPaglia; the Caradog James directed supernatural thriller 'Don't Knock Twice'; the supernatural heist thriller “The Trust”; the extraordinary, moving and white-knuckle drive with one of the greatest movie stars of all time documentary “Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans”; Oscar Wilde's “The Canterville Ghost” voiced by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie; and the romantic comedy “Comet” starring Justin Long and Emmy Rossum.
