Ace Fest calling for entries

New York Foundation for the Arts proudly presents the 2008 ACE Film Festival Call For Entries.

ACE Fest is considered one of the most anticipated annual events on the industry calendar, celebrating American independent cinema in the heart of New York City. Last year’s program boasted 5 world premieres, 1 U.S. premiere, 2 east coast premieres, 7 New York premieres and was attended by moviegoers, filmmakers, press and distributors from all over the globe. Several films in the 2007 program went on to achieve success in the international festival circuit, various distribution deals and even theatrical release. It has never been easier to enter a film or video to the festival with two simple options for submission: one-click submit via withoutabox.com or traditional mail-in through NYFA.org.

Entry fees have been lowered since last year to entice even more filmmakers to contribute their work and range from $15-45, depending on the piece’s duration and postmark date. Entrants can save even more by utilizing Withoutabox.com’s streamlined submission process which features discounted rates and an exclusive extension period. Submitting is only the beginning of this priceless opportunity. Films and videos selected for exhibition will be reviewed by a growing panel of accomplished judges for a chance to win awards, prizes, cash and more! Selected films will then go on to share the screen with the latest and greatest in the American cinematic experience.

The 2008 ACE Film Festival will take place September 12-14 at New World Stages in Midtown Manhattan. Aside from 3 full days of diverse programming, the weekend will feature special guest speakers, networking opportunities, after parties, panels and more. Visit AceFest.com for more information.

ACE Film Festival is made possible by support it receives from New York Foundation for the Arts. NYFA's mission is to empower artists at critical stages in their creative lives. NYFA is the largest provider of grants, services, and information to artists working in all disciplines in the United States. Visit the all new NYFA.org for more information.
