Le BRUSSELS FILM FESTIVAL dévoile son affiche 2016!Le prochain BRUSSELS FILM FESTIVAL se déroulera du 17 au 24 juin 2016 à Flagey et à la Cinematek. Alors que son directeur Ivan Corbisier s’attèle à la programmation de cette 14ème édition, le festival est très fier de déjà dévoiler son affiche, réalisée par l’artiste belge Laurent Durieux. Peu connu en Belgique, Laurent Durieux fait partie de ceux que la scène new-yorkaise s’arrache. Né à Braine-l’Alleud et installé à Bruxelles, Laurent Durieux a étudié à La Cambre. Sur commande en partenariat avec les studios de cinéma et ayants droit, cet artiste de 45 ans a recréé les affiches de films aussi célèbres que King Kong, Vertigo, The Master, Jaws, The Wizard of Oz, The Phantom of the Opera ou encore The Godfather, attirant l’attention de réalisateurs tels que Steven Spielberg et Francis Ford Coppola. Influencées par les illustrateurs des années 30 à 50, ses œuvres construisent un univers rétro-futuriste témoignant de sa fascination pour un « futur qui n’a jamais eu lieu ». En 2010, il réalise pour Canal+ France un court métrage en images de synthèse, Hellville, qui sera remarqué par le magazine américain de référence Variety et présenté dans de nombreux festivals dont ceux d’Annecy, Porto et Chicago. Il est aujourd’hui répertorié parmi les 200 meilleurs illustrateurs au monde et ses œuvres sont exposées dans de nombreuses galeries américaines. 26.10.2015 | Editor's blog Cat. : PRIX
