The Latin American Film Festival

The Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) returns in 2014 for its 18th edition, showcasing features, documentaries, and short films from south of the Rio Grande. Presented by the Canadian Film Institute (CFI), the event features only contemporary Ottawa premieres, gleaned from the screens of such festivals as Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, and Chicago to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of Latin America.

Each year, experience the work of Latin America’s greatest filmmakers, as well as Embassy-hosted receptions, over the span of the ten-day prestigious film event held at 395 Wellington St. Five-film Passports and special prices for members, seniors, and students are made available. This exciting event is presented in collaboration with the Group of Latin American Ambassadors (GRULA).

This is my first of many blog entries that will be coming. A little information about myself. My name is Ryan Graham, I'm 19 living in Ottawa, Ontario. I have finished my first script, 12:01, and currently working on my second. I plan to start filming 12:01 in the summer/fall of 2010, and will be submitting it to as many festivals as possible.
