DRESSAGE will have its world premiere at the Berlinale, in the Generation section. It's the first feature film directed by Pooya Badkoobeh, after his two internationally awarded shorts UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOR (2015) and MARS (2016).
DRESSAGE is nominated to compete for the GWFF Best First Feature Award 2018 (18 debut feature films from the Berlinale Competition, Panorama, Forum, Generation and Perspektive Deutsches Kino have been nominated for this award).
Golsa is a 16-year-old girl living with her family in a small town near Tehran. She spends most of her time hanging out with a group of friends. One day the group decide on a course of action the consequences of which will have unexpected results and turn their little bit of fun into something far more complicated. The events that follow radically change Golsa's perspective on life.
The film is produced by Touba Film (Iran).
