"Scrappy", a 4-minute film by Dawn Westlake, based on the poem by her father, Donald G. Westlake, is up for the People's Choice Award in the RATMA Film Fest. The film is playing online (for FREE!) until November 19th. The winner will be announced on November 20th.

The poem "Scrappy" is included in Donald G. Westlake's Studs Terkel Humanities Award-winning book, "ELBURN: 44 MILES TO CHICAGO". The poem was adapted to the screen by his daughter, Dawn. It features the professional debuts of 5-yr-old actress Nefertina Lizarraga and her dog, Kong (as Scrappy). The film was shot on location in Pine Mountain, CA, USA by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. He also edited and did VFX. "Scrappy" was scored by 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee, GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs.
