The poem "Scrappy" is included in Donald G. Westlake's Studs Terkel Humanities Award-winning book, "ELBURN: 44 MILES TO CHICAGO". The poem was adapted to the screen by his daughter, Dawn. It features the professional debuts of 5-yr-old actress Nefertina Lizarraga and her dog, Kong (as Scrappy). The film was shot on location in Pine Mountain, CA, USA by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. He also edited and did VFX. "Scrappy" was scored by 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee, GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs.
