Sweden
The Anchorage by Swede Anders Edstrom and and American CW Winter, is a sort of minimalist half installation/ half-documentary about primitive Swedish life in the woods. With a Bergmanian pace, it follows Ulla, Anders' real-life mother, as she conducts her daily life on a wild island on the Stockholm archipelago.

JAGJEET is a film set in 1984 and looks at the
guilt of a one man who left his childhood friend to die during the riots. The
film captures three days of their lives. The first day is set in past where two
best friends are in best of times. The second day is when riots took place in
Delhi. The third and present day is set a week after riots.

The Chinese film WINTER VACATION (Han Jia) has won the top prize, the Pardo d’oro/Golden Leopard for its director Li Hongqi at the Locarno Film Festival, which ended its 63rd edition on August 15. The award includes a 90,000 CHF cash prize. The film also won the FIPRESCI International Critics Prize, shared with fellow Chinese production KAMARAY by Xu Xin, which received a special mention.
