Press Release: Guests Line up for Brian De Palma Tribute on MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!

Actor William Katt, author Eyal Peretz and web host Geoff Beran will be featured on a special 2-hour internet radio tribute to director Brian De Palma on Sunday, July 22 from 6 - 8pm (EST). MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!, one of the most popular motion picture-themed radio programs on the internet, will host the tribute, which will celebrate the various works of one of our most under-appreciated cinematic masters.

"We are solidifying an impressive list of guests who can speak to De Palma's genius and work process from every angle," says Jamey DuVall, producer, writer and co-host of MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!

The broadcast will begin with author Eyal Peretz, whose new book on De Palma, (Becoming Visionary: Brian De Palma's Cinematic Education of the Senses), will be released by Stanford University Press in October.  Mr. Peretz will speak of Mr. De Palma's origins and how they inform his particular point of view as an artist.

Actor William Katt (The Greatest American Hero) will share his insights into De Palma the director, as he recounts his experience shooting the classic horror film "Carrie".

Speaking to Mr. De Palma's impressive presence on the internet and ever-growing fan base, Geoff Beran will join the Movie Geeks during the broadcast's second hour. Beran's website, De Palma A La Mod, is one of the premiere sites devoted to the modern master of suspense.

Additional interview subjects for the De Palma tribute are currently in the confirmation stages. Announcements will be made concerning the complete broadcast line-up in the coming weeks.
