Blind Spot Gear: The ultimate new gadget for filmmakers

Blind Spot Gear, a new Scotland based company earns great success after inroducing to the world the innovative and unique lighting equipment 'The Scorpion Light'.

The Scorpion Light is perfect for flexible handheld, location, documentary and studio camera work. Providing a lightweight kick, detail or eye-light it is also ideal for stabilised camera gimbals, steadicam, dolly and crane shots where a lightweight fill is required without compromising the quality of the ambient light source.

Blind Spot Gear was created by a Bafta winning Director, Kodak Award winning cinematographer Billy Campbell and two Engineers, Alan Easdale and James Campbell, both professional engineers and entrepreneurs.

The Kickstarter campaign launched to get the project off the ground, reached 200% over the initial goal and the first order was sold out almost immediately after delivery.

The team is now working on the developmnet of the product and their second order is currently in production. Blind Spot Gear will participate for a second time at the IBC in Amsterdam this September, where professionals and buyers from all over he world can be introduced to their idea.
