The world's largest online short film competition is now open for submission!

The Göteborg International Film Festival's short film competition Dragon Award New Talent is now open for submission. For the winner of last year's Dragon Award New Talent, the Spanish film Los Gritones, the competition opened the door to the world's festivals, the film has been awarded in no less than 19 festivals around the world.

Here's what the producer to Los Gritones, last years winner, Eduardo Moi Es Escribano Solera, says about The Dragon Award New Talent:

"Being part of the Dragon Award New Talent at Göteborg International Film Festival was one of the most exciting experiences that I ever had in my career. This festival allowed us to show our work to many other countries and we were able to meet many young filmmakers full of energy and enthusiasm who wanted to share their works with us. This year I would like to repeat this experience as it was the first time. With the same inclination but with new short films and new film makers. ... And I already feel the eagerness to watch all short films that have been selected. "

Anyone may join the competition and upload their film. The film may be up to ten minutes long and there are no limits on how many films a participant may upload. Application deadline is December 31. Until January 17 the audience can vote for their favourite. A jury will choose the winner among the ten highest rated films and three wild cards. The award ceremony will take place at The Dragon Award gala on February 4.
