The Juries

The Feature and Short Film juries will award the Palme d'Or, the Grand Prix,
the Award to Best Actress , the Award to Best Actor, the Award to Best Director
, the Award to Best Screenplay during the closing ceremony on May 26th.

Short Films and Cinéfondation Jury

The Short Films and Cinéfondation Jury also awards the three best Cinéfondation
films during a special ceremony taking place on the Festival's second Friday.

Camera d'Or Jury

Created in 1978 by Gilles Jacob to distinguish a first film and help the recognition
of young filmmakers, the Camera d'or is celebrating its 25th anniversary in
2002. The Festival de Cannes has brought together a jury composed of the prizes'
former presidents and award winners to mark the occasion. The president of the
jury will be elected among themselves during their first meeting at Cannes on
May 14th. The Caméra d'Or prize is awarded to the best first film chosen
from the Official Selection, the Director's Fortnight and the International
Critics Week. The award is part of the Official Award's List and, as such, will
be attributed during the closing ceremony on May 26th.

FIPRESCI Jury

FIPRESCI Jury will present the Prize of the International Film Critics to a
film in three different sections: the competition (in and out of competition),
Certain Regard, Quinzaine des Realisateurs / Directors' Fortnight or Semaine
de la Critique / Critics Week.
