Pop Your Panties With Paris, Lindsay and Nicole...is getting Hot

Pop Your Panties With Paris, Lindsay and Nicole is getting noticed in the Short Film Corner as part of the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival. The parody music video that impersonates the rehab of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Ritchie has already won two major awards at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival (NYIIFVF) for Best Direction and Best Music.

Parody4Charity produced the 4-minute short to support, Media4Humanity a New York-based charity working towards eliminating human trafficking. The film stars Ashley Michaelsen, Tiffany Lee and Kimberly Magness and features the voice of famed vocalist Zelma Davis (C + C Music Factory), singing "Plastic Paris," a catchy and clever spoof of the country classic "Plastic Jesus." The song parodies the trio’s mission as they seek image rehabilitation.

The reaction from Cannes attendees is "overwhelming" says Itsi Atkins the film’s writer and producer. The film appears in the Short Film Corner under index number 1803, along with nightly mobile screenings from “CANNES in a VAN," the world’s smallest mobile cinema at the world’s largest film festival! www.cannesinavan.com.

Each evening, the "POP YOUR PANTIES" mobile screening theater moves through the streets of Cannes to entertain the crowds with actresses Dita de Leon and Stephanie Parker, in glittering sexy wardrobe performing physical comedy as the song, "Plastic Paris" holds the attention of the crowds. A select group of US Navy sailors from the USS Harry Truman received an honorary box set of the DVD complete with official PYP panties.

Here’s what the critics are saying:
"Pop Your Panties is a clever, contemporary and wildly entertaining satire. Itsi Atkins is a natural-born entertainer, artist, and above all a humanitarian."

Todd Konrad - Independent Film Quarterly

"A marvelous short music video "Pop Your Panties With Paris, Nicole and Lindsay" that generates laughs and applause. Itsi Atkins has taken the music video one step away from its classic genre to comic parody and social commentary. In the film’s visual imagery, filled with eye candy, it is hard to decipher between our culture’s pre-disposed misogyny from genuine simpatico, but the producer redeems himself by dedicating his work to Media4humanity."

- Griselda Steiner (Freelance Writer)

Itsi Atkins commented, "Our objective is to parody contemporary issues in a format that increases direct donations to Media4Humanity. The entertainment press needs fresh copy and the parody video, a format I wish to continue to produce for interested charities, is a novel and original way to combine celebrity appeal with worthy humanitarian goals." Atkins further states that he is working to create a better world, "one panty at a time."
