AUDIOVISUAL INDUSTRY PROMOTION-MIFED ANNOUNCES THE BIRTH OF MIFED MOSCOW AND MIFED MEDITERRANEAN

In occasion of the 57th Cannes Film Festival, Audiovisual Industry Promotion-Mifed announced the new initiatives it plans on undertaking in 2005, in favor of developing new international markets in the movie and audiovisual industry: the Mediterranean Market project, which is in accordance with the Fiera of Palermo, to be developed in next year's first semester, and the project, in collaboration with Kino Expo and Moscow Trade Fair, to hold a Film Market in Moscow, coinciding with the Moscow Festival 2005.

71st Mifed therefore continues a precise path in accordance with its strategy, in order to create ideal conditions for commercial activity, geared at the professional operators of the rising markets, with greater focus on products of higher quality. Also in development is the realization of an audiovisual market in China programmed in 2005.

Futhermore, the agreement of collaboration between A.I.P. and the Biennale di Venezia has been announced. The strict collaborative work which began with the actual Board of Biennale di Venezia, today consents, the confirmation of a mututal agreement, ruled by a formal accord, which will see Audiovisual Industry Promotion and Biennale di Venezia engaged, as of the next Venice Film Festival, in favour of maximizing Venice screenings, and other initiatives for the Festival Industry Office.
