Jeff Goldblum joins Michael Sheen and Michelle Monaghan in the dramedy PRICE OF ADMISSION

Jeff Goldblum joins Michael Sheen and Michelle Monaghan in the dramedy PRICE OF ADMISSION for producers Neda Armian and Alex Foster. Radiant is handling foreign rights.

Academy Award Nominee Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Isle of Dogs, Thor: Ragnarok) is joining Golden Globe nominees Michael Sheen (Nocturnal Animals, Passengers, Showtime’s “Masters of Sex”) and Michelle Monaghan (Mission: Impossible Fallout, HBO’s “True Detective, Hulu's “The Path) to star in writer/director Peter Glanz’s next feature film project The Price of Admission for producers Neda Armian (Rachel Getting Married) of Armian Pictures, Alex Foster (Sleepless), and Glanz who also produces, it was announced today by Radiant Films International President and CEO, Mimi Steinbauer.

In the tradition of Being John Malkovich and Barton FinkThe Price of Admission is a unique story that is part dramedy and part existential thriller.  Harold Sugar’s (Sheen) life is unraveling. He’s a middling playwright amidst a mid-life crisis and failing marriage. His wife, Eliza Sugar (Monaghan), is tired of being second-fiddle to his work, she wants a family. But incapable of functioning in reality, Harold submerges himself in an elaborate play about his life. The only person who understands his plight is his best friend, Alexander Taft (Goldblum), a behavioral psychologist with a mid-life crisis of his own. The blind leading the blind, it doesn't turn out quite how either envisioned. Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, we follow Harold as he descends into madness – the theatre can be a harsh mistress.

Peter Glanz is directing the film from his own screenplay. The dynamic commercial director also wrote and directed the stylish dramedy The Longest Week starring Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde as well as the short A Relationship In Four Days which screened at Sundance and Cannes Critics' Week.

Radiant Films International is handling foreign rights to the project, which was presented to buyers at the Marché du Film in Cannes. Radiant’s acquisitions executive Mike Dougherty introduced the project to the company, with Steinbauer negotiating the rights deal. ICM packaged the film and is handling the U.S. rights.

“The Price of Admission is a brilliant, comedic dive into the mind of a playwright mounting a much anticipated play about his life while that life unravels around him scene by scene. The combination of the incomparable Jeff Goldblum alongside mega talented Michael Sheen and the luminous Michelle Monaghan gives this film its cinematic heartbeat and we could not be more honored to collaborate with this team,” commented producers Neda Armian and Alex Foster.

“Peter is assembling the perfect cast to match his unique creative vision. This type of fresh, innovative storytelling paired with the formidable talents of Michael Sheen, Michelle Monaghan and Jeff Goldblum will be a stand out project in the foreign market,” commented Steinbauer, President and CEO of Radiant Films International.
