Invite from Riviera Maya Underground Film Festival

The organizing committee of the RIVIERA MAYA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL on its 4TH edition invites every audiovisual producer to participate in the “Riviera Maya Underground Film Festival” 2009

That will take place at Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo Mexico from October 14 to October 18, 2009.
Riviera Maya Underground Film Festival (RMUFF), is looking to create a point of contact between audiovisual producers, specialists in the matter, and everyone else who is interested on the subject.
At this international forum the creators will be able to exhibit their short films, the experts will emit their opinions, and the assistants will learn important aspects of the Cinematographic Culture.
BASES

I. The call to the RMUFF is open from April 15 until July 30, 2009.
II. Participation and registration to the RMUFF is free
III. RMUFF is an international project, reason why every audiovisual
producer all over the world is able to participate.
IV. The minimum length of the short film will be of two minutes and
the maximum of 25 minutes, one minute for minutefilm.
V. Select a category: Animation, Experimental, Documental, Fiction or minutefilm
VI. The format and the technique are free
VII. The short film should be on its original language with subtitles
in Spanish.
VIII. Each producer will be able to register the number of short films
that he desires.
IX. The time for the short films to participate goes through 2005
until October 2008.
X. In order to participate on the preselection of RMUFF, the
registration form appears at www.rmuff.com must be filled. It’s important to enclose each required document. In case they are not complete, they material won't be able to participate.
XI. The producer must give two copies of the short film: one in DVD
with NTSC format and one in miniDV with NTSC format; the first one is for files and the second for the projection.
XII. Both copies must have the complete name on them.
XIII. The received materials will not be given back.
XIV. When registering to the RMUFF, the received short films will be
able to be used for promotion, diffusion and publicity of the event
XV. It is really important to protect the material with protective
plastic; with this we try to minimize the possibility of an accident with the material.
