Opening with a Bang and Some Blood
Despite murmurs of criticism amongst festival regulars, George Miller’s “Mad Max” looks to be a thrilling two hour kickoff for Thursdays big day of films. The movie looks to be a 2 hour long chase filled with explosions, killer Tom Hardy one liners and A-list acting from the beautiful Charlize Theron. The film will be followed by Matteo Garrones “Il Racconto Dei Racconti”, which has created quite a bit of excitement in the film world. The cinematography in the trailer alone looks to be an early Oscar contender and it features an interestingly versatile cast. Not only will it star a crazed, caracas munching Salma Hayek but it will also feature John C. Reilly whose range seems to perfectly fit this eccentric and fantastical world. Anyone out there hoping to score tickets outside of the Palais might want to use their time somewhere else as it does not seem likely many will be giving theirs up. 13.05.2015 | Cannes Market Dailies's blog Cat. : Charlize Theron George Miller John C.
