After a successful partnership for Cannes, the Marché du Film is once again working with Blue Efficience to increase the security of online screenings for Ventana Sur.

The Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, the leading global film industry event which was held online exceptionally this year for five days from June 22nd to 26th established a new exclusive partnership with the company Blue Efficience.

Against the background of the ongoing health crisis, the Marché du Film asked Blue Efficience, a top French company expert in antipiracy enforcement, to reinforce the security of its online screenings. Blue Efficience mobilized its know-how to ensure the monitoring of films screened virtually.

A total of 872 films were able to benefit from the company’s expertise. Thanks to the antipiracy measures implemented by the Marché du Film and its technology suppliers Cinando and Shift72, including encryption and watermarking of films, Blue Efficience did not detect any piracy resulting from the virtual screenings that took place during the Marché. On the contrary Blue Efficience were able to see that some films had already been pirated well before the Marché du Film Online.
