The Cannes amfAR Star Studded party

Since 1993, wonderful Cinema Against Aids events around the world have raised money for lifesaving AIDS research.

The seventeenth annual Cinema Against AIDS, held during the Cannes Film Festival, is a black-tie event featuring a cocktail reception, dinner, and live auction.

Over the years, Cinema Against AIDS has become the most eagerly anticipated and best-publicized party held during the Cannes Film Festival. Cinema Against AIDS events are always marked by unforgettable moments: from Sharon Stone dancing along to an impromptu performance by Sir Elton John and Ringo Starr, to George Clooney bestowing a kiss on a lucky auction bidder. The event consistently has the most exciting and diverse guest list of any party held during the festival.  It includes many of the celebrities and personalities associated with the film festival, while also attracting familiar faces from the worlds of fashion, music, business, and international society. Since 1993, Cinema Against AIDS events around the world have raised more than $50 million for lifesaving AIDS research.

The 2010 benefit gala at the Hotel du Cap Thursday evening (May 20th) in Antibes, France contributed around seven million to the cause. Alan Cumming hosted the event while Mary J. Blige gave a special performance.

The atmosphere was lively, the guest were in high spirits, and everyone was thankful to join together for such a wonderful organization. The seventeenth annual gala, held during the Cannes Film Festival, featured a cocktail reception, dinner, and live auction. The cocktail reception was held overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea in the back of the Hotel du Cap grounds.

The dinner and auction were hosted in a grand tent that featured simple, but elegant colors of black and white and wonderful artwork around on the walls. The event attracted an exciting guest list featuring: Rachel Bilson, Tom Ford, Kenneth Cole, Patti Smith, Elizabeth Banks, Alan Cumming, Mischa Barton, Ivana Trump, Mary J. Blige, Karolina Kurkova, Emily Blunt, Camilla Belle, Diana Kruger, Joely Richardson, Naomi Campbell, Gerard Butler, Paris Hilton, Marion Cotillard, Fan Bingbing, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Michelle Williams, Roberto Cavalli, Michelle Rodriguez, Mick Jagger, Vanessa Neuman, Georgia Armani, Kate Beckinsale, Karl Lagerfeld, Benicio Del Toro, Grace Jones, Chris Tucker, Eugenia Silva, Victoria Silvstedt, Ryan Kavanaugh, Dree Hemingway, Edgar Ramirez, Lawrence Bender,  Kristin Scott, Russell Crowe, Danielle Spencer, Kirsten Dunst, Ryan Gosling, Karl Lagerfeld, and Luke Evans.
