Rai Ragazzi, the Rai kids’ division launches initiative for young animators

Résultat de recherche d'images pour "RAI RAGAZZI"

July 12 the deadline to send the applications to "It’s time to dive"

Are you young Italian animation authors, or foreigners living in Italy, with an age between 18 and 26, and you want to make known your original and new project? This is an opportunity to try out your ideas and skills!

Rai Ragazzi, the kids’ division of the Italian national broadcaster, launches the "L’ora di tuffarsi" (It’s time to dive) initiative aimed at students of animation or audiovisual schools, or those who have completed their studies few years ago, with an original and unpublished animation project in the drawer. The best projects will be admitted to the pitching session reserved to a maximum of 10 young authors, to be held in Rome on Monday 3 September 2018.

The objectives of the day of meetings are to make known themselves and their project and to receive comments, suggestions and guidelines for the continuation of their work.

To participate, you must send your application no later than July 12 exclusively online at inforairagazzi@rai.it along with a brief curriculum and a brief presentation of the project.

Among all the applications, Rai Ragazzi's Cartoons and TV series department will choose up to 10 projects based on the following criteria: originality of the project, potential for success in at least one of the reference audience (pre-school, children, teenagers, family), innovative extent, potential for international development. Only projects for television series, films or animation specials (minimum 26 minutes) and cross-media animated projects may be submitted.

The selected young authors will receive confirmation of the admission by e-mail by 20 July. On 3 September each participant will have 30 minutes to present their project and answer the questions. Representatives of independent Italian production companies will also be invited and all the young authors who will take part in the meeting will receive a certificate of participation from Rai Ragazzi.

The meeting also aims to stimulate and encourage the presence of young Italian authors at the European "Cartoon Springboard" event aimed at young European talents, which will be held in Valenciennes (France) from 4 to 6 December 2018.
