Filmfestivals.com Wine tasting Party for festival directors ends with bitter taste of Camera StolenWe regret that we will not be able to share pictures of the event. Every one enjoyed meeting their peers and sharing festival stories, wines from Bernardus were amazing, thanks to our friends at Fest Forums and Vision Films we had a great time...untill we realized at the end that someone had decided to walk away with my camera and pictures. This is the first time in afm this year that an object is reported stolen, said the security..."from all the bars in the world you had to walk into mine"...said Bogart. I feel bad beeing that lucky winner! This is the first time in my ten years of organising such wine tasting for hundreds of festival directors that something similar happened. Of course each time I have to fight REALLY hard to 'politely' kick those who pretend to think that they are festival directors because they had a film once in a festival. This year I had an impressive number of these with 32 of them who RSVPed. I still thank them for wanting to be part of the event. Others professionnal party crashers or predators, not on any list, I assume, took advantage of the very friendly and casual ambiance to steal my 2000$ camera with all pictures from AFM on it and my grand children's pictures. I guess you understand that I am still totally shocked and extremely pissed. I asked my guests to check their photos and share comments which might help us track the thief. 05.11.2017 | American Film Market Dailies's blog Cat. : Ambiance
