Eight Leading Thai Film Companies to Participate in Thai Night AFM 2017
Tonight, Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi is presiding over Thai Night 2017 - Where Films Come Alive, an event of celebration of Thai cinema and its industry held on the occasion of the American Film Market 2017 edition.
Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, the event will spotlight Thailand's new wave of film talent — artists, technicians and entrepreneurs — who are contributing to making Thailand the premier film production hub of South-East Asia.
The highlight of the evening will be video presentations by some of the most high-profile Thai film companies including Benetone Films, GDH 559, Hollywood (Thailand), Imagimax, Kantana Sound Studio, P.L.H. Holding, Sahamongkolfilm International and The Monk Studios.
While the local box office is steadily growing (crossing the 90 million US dollars mark in 2016) and Thai filmmakers and talent are experiencing increasing success abroad, Thailand is attracting a growing number of foreign productions, a trend that will be reinforced by the brand new location-based film incentives launched by the Royal Thai Government at the beginning of the year.
All these achievements will be reflected at Thai Night AFM 2017, an event which will provide opportunities for film professionals from around the world to network with Thai talent, forge new ties with the Thai film industry and find more information on the brand new film incentives.
