The Festival is located in the beautiful resort community of Palm Springs, California. Ideally located 2 hours east of Hollywood, this film mecca boasts a favorable viewing audience and a proven track record of supporting independent films. Already the largest documentary festival on the West Coast of the United States, we feature documentary features, doc shorts, and animated shorts from filmmakers around the world. 'Segregated By Design' explores different subjects pertaining to residential segregation like many New Deal policies, racial zoning techniques like Redlining, the creation of slums, blockbusting, slum clearance, state-sponsored violence, the immense wealth gap between white families and African-American families, the effects of segregation and the constitutional remedy for the unconstitutional segregation.

Korean pop, or K-pop, is quickly becoming a global sensation. We see this frenetic world through the eyes of a wide-eyed girl who auditions to become a star, an aging female trainee who sees her window to debut as an idol collapsing and a tormented boy idol who simply misses mum.

With an area of 31,700 square miles, Lake Superior is bigger than the state of Maine. In the winter months, strong winds blow across the cold water creating deadly currents… icebergs… and waves. Dan Schetter is a native of the upper peninsula of Michigan, with Lake Superior bordering its northern coast. Schetter is a local legend with a love for the outdoors and Lake Superior’s wicked, winter waters. He’s known for being the crazy guy catching waves in January and sporting a beard of icicles.
