The trailer for “Falling Into Place”
In her English-language debut “Falling Into Place” stars Tezel and British actor Chris Fulton (“Outlander”, “The Witcher”) and follows thirty-something lovers Kira and Ian. Both fleeing their personal demons, the pair meet on a winter weekend on the Isle of Skye. They connect suddenly and deeply, before returning to London where they try to pursue their separate lives - but are forced to confront their pasts before they are ready to reunite. The film co-stars Alexandra Dowling ("Game Of Thrones"), Olwen Fouéré ("The Northman"), Michael Carter ("Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"), Samuel Anderson ("Another Life") and rising stars Layo-Christina Akinlude ("The End Of The F***ing World") and Rory Fleck Byrne ("The Foreigner"). In a film of rich musicality, with a soundtrack featuring Mercury-winner Jon Hopkins, celebrated Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen also makes a small surprise cameo.
Speaking about the film, Tezel had the following to say:
““Falling into Place" is an ode to love: its magic, its memorability, its pain, and its joy. It takes courage to grow up and grow out of different versions of yourself - at any age. For me, this story is not just a love story between two people, it is also a reminder that life is a series of choices. Decisions that we make ourselves, or that are made for us, and that change us. I would like the film to invite viewers to ask themselves personal questions: Do I choose to spend my time doing things I like with people I love? Am I brave enough to look at myself?"
Speaking about her upcoming nomination, Tezel states:
"Filmmaking is quite a long, hard process - and it’s wonderful that the film is finding a home with audiences, keen to talk about the emotions it provokes!"
