Filmshift1

The FilmShift Festival presents films from across the nation, that are produced independently and on the local level. Our goal is to support films of all kinds but highlight films that use predominantly small, local, or “Green” businesses. Both professional and Student filmmakers are encouraged to submit their work to compete for a variety of prizes and awards. We welcome films of all genres and styles that tell strong and original stories. We also accept feature-length and short film scripts for our FilmShift Screenplay Competition. Twenty percent of our gross ticket sales will be donated evenly to 2 local non-profit groups: Christopher's Haven (a foundation that supports kids with cancer and their families,) and MetroWest Family Theater (a community theater group.) Our prize sponsors are, quite simply, the giants of the independent production world. FINAL DRAFT, Harmonix's BEATLES ROCK BAND, INKTIP, JUNGLE SOFTWARE budgeting, SCRIPT P.I.M.P, ATOMIC, BUNCH/CASSEDAY, and WOODEN NICKEL LIGHTING, have donated products or discounts to Filmshift as prizes for our filmmakers. Because of their generosity, Filmshift offers some of the best prizes of any festival out there.
