EtiudaAnimaEtiuda&Anima International Film Festival, organized in Krakow since 1994, is the oldest international film event in Poland confronting the achievements of art and film school students from all over the globe with the works of the authors of artistic animation including professional, student and independent filmmakers. Among events accompanying international contest of animated films and student etudes there are: the annual award for the outstanding artist and pedagogue, Etiuda&Anima ”Top Tens” – unique sets of the best of the best animations chosen by experts, ”Classic Artists of European Animation” enabling to familiarize oneself with those achievements of the world’s animation which still remain little known in Poland, ”Animators’ Self-Portraits”, a cycle which provides the audience with unique opportunity to watch some of the best authors of various animation genres creating their film works live, or the premieres of the most interesting feature animated films from all over the world. For the past four years the festival has also included various film workshops in: scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, editing and animation conducted by well-known artists and pedagogues from the world’s leading film schools. The festival enjoys highly reputable position among world’s film events of similar type and every year is becoming more and more popular among both artists and oustanding personages of the film world, as well as viewers who come to Krakow to attend it in large numbers. |
