Vegas Cine Fest

VEGAS CINE FEST FILM FESTIVAL ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET AT THETROPICANA HOTEL AND CASINOLas Vegas, NV – April, 2011 – Founded in 2008 by Executive Director Philip Marcus and his wife Maria, who acts as President, the idea for the festival took root after the couple attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2007.

They decided that the Vegas Cine Fest Awards would share the visions and experiences of a select group of Producers, Directors and Writers that had spent years in the trenches of story development and production earning high acclaim and developing a keen ability for filmmaking.

CEO Alex Yemenidjian, who brought the Tropicana Hotel and Casino out of bankruptcy and orchestrated its recent renovation, Fred Harmon Vice President Talent & Image Relations, Philip and Maria Marcus Vegas Cine Fest Founders , are proud to announce that the newly renovated Tropicana Hotel and Casino will be playing host to the 2011 Vegas Cine Fest on August 25, 26 and 27, 2011.

The Festival will “Premier” the screening of Hollywood Film Producer Michel Shane (Catch Me If You Can & iRobot) latest film. Michel Shane is also on the Advisory Board for Vegas Cine Fest. A star studded event featuring screenings of the winning films, Q&A sessions with talent, directors and producers and “Themed After Parties” in the evenings at the Internationally renowned Nikki Beach are being planned along with a Red Carpet Black Tie Awards Ceremony as the grand finale.

Steve Pacitti Esq. (Black & Lobello) developed the Festival as a Non-Profit organization. The Festival began as a springboard for many of tomorrow’s top writers and filmmakers developing a reputation as one of the few film festival contests providing writers and filmmakers with the assistance needed to produce their projects. In the beginning more emphasis was placed on the screenwriting categories and in fact the grand prize was having Philip and Maria produce the script into films. From there the Festival has expanded and this year awards will be presented to winners in the feature, featurette, shorts and music video categories as well as for screenplay writing at the gala awards ceremony being held at the newly renamed Gladys Knight Theatre inside the Tropicana.

Tickets will be available on the website at www.vegascinefest.com or www.brownpapertickets.com and at the Tropicana Box Office. Packages including rooms can also be purchased through the hotel. www.troplv.com Both corporate and individual sponsorships are also available with information available on the website. www.vegascinefest.com
